I am concerned and I stand by Planned Parenthood, as a board member, researcher, black woman, mother... and as someone who is getting really pissed off that my right to privacy that the Supreme Court guaranteed me is under attack. And that attack is being aimed at all of the services, the 95% of the other services, that Planned Parenthood offers to the insured and uninsured.
If those in favor of eliminating funding for family planning services were truly serious about stopping abortions and unintended pregnancies, they would work as hard as Planned Parenthood does in ensuring quality affordable health care and comprehensive sexual health education to as many women, men, and young people as possible.
