Last Saturday, we had an incredible rally at the Boston Common. We had drums. We had a lot of pink: Pink signs. Pink shirts. Even dogs in pink shirts. And we had a lot of energy. So despite the chilly wind, the rally was a GREAT success with more than 650 attendees and petition post cards collected. That is in addition to the several hundred others that were collected over the last few weeks at our health centers and at some area colleges. We will make sure that Senator Brown gets every single one of these cards so that he knows his constituents are counting on him to stand with Planned Parenthood.
We had a great speaking program that included U.S. Rep. Capuano and Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll. Our very own Lindsey Piper offered the perspective of a nurse practitioner, delivering strong, compelling testimony. Leaders including Dianne Luby, U.S. Rep. Niki Tsongas and representatives from our cosponsoring organizations made it clear that Congress needs to oppose any measure that restricts access to women’s health.

P.S. We also had a super volunteer who is an artist and photographer who took over 1,500 pictures. Check him out here. The photos above are by David W. Aquilina.
