THOUGHTS FROM THE BUS

As the saying goes, “Virginia is for Lovers” and today, the Big Pink Planned Parenthood Bus got lots of love in Roanoke! We started our morning with a visit to our state-of-the-art health center, where we received a warm welcome from Planned Parenthood Health Systems Vice President David Nova and a tour of the health center.

We then moved on to Hollins University for a little lunch-time tabling. Hollins is a women’s college with 800 undergraduate students and 120 of them signed our “I Stand with Planned Parenthood” postcards in less than two hours – that’s 15% of the entire student body! Everyone took a PP t-shirt, and we left a few behind so that the entire campus could be covered in pink.

The bus is now en route to Washington, DC for a rally on the National Mall tomorrow at 11am! Will you be there? With an expected turnout of thousands of supporters, this will be a great way to end the month-long Planned Parenthood Truth Tour. I will always get a little teary-eyed when I hear the words:

What do we want? PLANNED PARENTHOOD!
When do we want it? ALWAYS!!!
