Since the Truth Tour began on Monday March 7 at 8 a.m., Planned Parenthood has provided:
STD Tests: ; Pap Smears: ; Breast Exams: ; Birth Control: ; Title X Patients:
The anti-women's health extremists behind the push to bar Planned Parenthood health centers from federal funding have been spreading lies. The Planned Parenthood Truth Team — staff, patients, and supporters — are there to counter their lies with the truth and to demonstrate just how much support we have in communities and online.

THOUGHTS FROM THE BUS

Another event down, another inspiring day on the Planned Parenthood Truth Tour.

Today, the Truth Team stopped in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania and said hello to Congressman Jason Altmire’s staff in his district office. Rep. Altmire voted against the Pence amendment and we were there to support his vote in favor of Planned Parenthood.

Aliquippa is a nice little town that was once a prosperous steel town, but when the mills shut down, the town lost one of its biggest employers. We are seeing what we already know: people are worried about jobs and the economy and they can’t understand why Congress is waging an agenda against Planned Parenthood. They know that taking away our funding doesn’t save the government a dime.

We had more than 40 people show up – our new friend Jen even traveled 1.5 hours from Ohio to be with us. She saw our event postings online and decided that she wanted to see what the big pink bus was all about and show her support. CEO Kim Evert and her team held a very nice rally that even included a patient who spoke on Planned Parenthood being her primary care provider because she loves the quality health care she receives at her local health center.

All of this on the eve of the Senate voting on the dangerous House bill against women's health – we know that what we are doing is going to help raise awareness about what is at stake – and we have faith that the Senate will oppose this dangerous bill.

To our followers who have come out, stood up, and shown support over the past few days, both online and offline: thank you. We are on this tour because of you.

Right now we're heading to Langhorne, PA for tomorrow's 9am event at the Summit Square Shopping Center. Hope to see you there!

-Amy
