I want to let you know how wonderful the first stop on the Truth Tour was.
We had 100 people show up in the middle of a frigid Illinois day, on only two days' notice. I can't tell you how inspiring it was. As we said hello to the people in the crowd, all of them had a different story for being there - all of them were so thankful for the services that Planned Parenthood provides to the community.
I urge you to watch the videos - our nurse practitioner told a story about having to tell a woman she had stage 3 cancer and it would not have been detected without Planned Parenthood. One of our patients, Jacqueline, spoke about losing her health insurance when she got a divorce, so she relied on Planned Parenthood for her services. Her two gorgeous sons were even there and stood at her side while she spoke. And Brigid was the perfect emcee - she could be the next breakout talk show host!!
Our kick-off event couldn't have gone any better. I am so proud of our Illinois colleagues, patients, and supporters that made today such a success. Thank you for your support, Geneva!

The anti-women's health extremists behind the push to bar Planned Parenthood health centers from federal funding have been spreading lies. The Planned Parenthood Truth Team — staff, patients, and supporters — are there to counter their lies with the truth and to demonstrate just how much support we have in communities and online.
