"I first went to the Hackensack Planned Parenthood when I was around 18-years-old. I was in need of basic gynecological services and information about my body and my health. I had no sex education in high school besides being told not to have sex. As a community college student, I had very meager financial resources, no health insurance, and needed to seek care in privacy because I didn’t feel comfortable talking to my family about that sort of thing. Naturally, I went to Planned Parenthood and got the care and information I needed. The people that helped me there set me up on a path of responsibility for my health."
