When I was in my 20s, going to college and working minimum wage jobs, Planned Parenthood’s sliding scale fees let me continue keeping myself healthy with yearly pap tests and breast exams that I wouldn’t have been able to afford otherwise.
And now that I’m a wife and a mother with health insurance, I still choose to pay out of pocket and go to Planned Parenthood even though I could go to any OB/GYN and have it covered under my insurance. The compassion and care they showed me when I was 17 hasn’t changed. They still care about women and keeping them healthy.
